Bio
His music experience started as a drummer and backing vocalist in a rhythm n blues band on the London circuit in 1985.
By 1987 he had taken to the decks paying soul funk and rare groove to London crowds in Buzbys, Maximus and other venues.
1988 was the start of the Acid House movement for him and from that point on he was hooked. The great Tony Thorpe crossed his path and became his 1st music mentor.
For the next ten years he developed his production and DJ talents. He was commissioned in 1996 to compose the VH-1 on-air indent and music for four other VH-1 shows. He produced his first album and developed the Blackliquid band.
By 2000 he took his talents to LA fully immersing himself in the house music community.
As a DJ he was introduced to the top LA club promoters and established venues. Traffic @ The Mayan, Spundae LA, Monday Social, Booth 7 and The World Party (south bay) just to name a few. (In 2010 he performed for Hed Kandi USA at the famed Club Mighty in SF).
At this point in his career, in 2002 at a local Los Angeles 7Eleven he met his second mentor and friend for life Ashley Ingram (Imagination, Desree, AISM).
After being signed for numerous productions on various labels including the Universal Music Group, Magnify Music and his notable remix of DJ Coletteís hit record ëFeelin Hypnotizedí which is featured in 20th Century Fox hit movie and the Warner soundtrack ëDevil Wears Pradaí, he decided to open his digital imprint Blackliquid Music.
He later merged his company with fellow Brit Mikey Gallagher now with Hed Kandi to form the internationally known brand House Sound of LA. The label side of the brand has a catalogue of over 80 releases. The brand has since been licensed to Willy Sanjuan to form House Sound of Barcelona.
With his constantly evolving global perspective, he is touring his music worldwide with brands such as Wet Grooves, Gaga Records, Azucar Entertainment, playing cities like Gothenburg, Luxemburg, Miami, Kansas City, San Francisco, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.
